From Director's Desk Message

A warm welcome..........

What is an innovation today, soon becomes obsolete tomorrow. The test of specialized professional courses depends upon its adaptability and acceptance. Late Narayan Meghaji Lokhande Maharashtra Institute of Labour Studies, a pioneer institute conducts full time two year post graduate course Master of Labour Studies (M.L.S.) in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations, a unique course in its own way. The curriculum has been painstakingly planned taking into consideration of the current needs of the industry so as to provide professionals with intellectual and practical stimulation. The dedicated lecturer, academician, distinguished guest faculty, of the institute leave no stone unturned to make the students, a master in HRM & IR. The basics of labour administration, personnel management, organisational behaviour, compensation planning, motivation, retention, dismissal and trade unionism are some of the major subjects taught in their proper perspective to the students. The robust economic growth of the last few decades has brought with it challenges related to equity and human resource development. There is a greater demand today, than ever before, for good quality HR professionals who can facilitate decent work opportunities across sectors and build inclusive, people centric organisations.

The unique system of study that is a combination of class room coaching accompanied with practical orientation such as field visits, summer internship, block placement, labour court placement, Commissioner of labour, DISH, ESIC, CLI, make our students self motivated, independent, confident decision makers to take up any challenge and scale further height of excellence.

The current batch of M.L.S. part- II students comes from diverse backgrounds. It is an eclectic mix of both experienced professionals and fresh graduates hailing from streams such as Engineering, Science, Law, Commerce and Management. It is my pleasure to invite you on behalf of the institute for discovering the young and upcoming talent loaded with academic and practical armour suitable for the need of the current industry.

Best Wishes,
Mr. Shashank Sathe,
Director, LNML MILS
